Community Pharmacy SWL Newsletter and Upcoming LPC Events

Dear All,

I hope this message finds you well. As the CEO of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC) for Southwest London, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your ongoing commitment and the exceptional service you continue to provide to our community. It is through your dedication that we can face the challenges ahead with confidence and unity.

As we navigate a busy year, underscored by the impending general election, the importance of solidarity within our sector cannot be overstated. It is imperative that we, as a community of Community Pharmacy (CCA, AIMS, and NPA), articulate our professional ambitions and system pressures with a unified voice. To this end, I urge you to engage with the initiatives outlined in our latest newsletter, particularly by participating in the Community Pharmacy England Pharmacy Pressures Survey and the LPC workforce survey.

Beyond these critical surveys, I want to draw your attention to two significant LPC events that are pivotal for our collective advancement and collaboration:

  1. Virtual MDT on Pharmacy First – March 14th, 8pm-9pm: An invaluable opportunity for you to delve into the Pharmacy First service, share experiences, and learn best practices. This session is designed to foster a deeper understanding and enhance the implementation of this vital service across our pharmacies.
  2. SWL Contractor Face-to-Face Meeting – March 21st, 7:30pm for food & networking, followed by the meeting from 8pm-9:30pm at The Grange, Beddington Park, London Road, Wallington, SM6 7BT: This gathering is more than just a meeting; it’s a chance for us to come together as a community, share insights, and strengthen our networks. The discussions and interactions from this event are crucial for our strategic direction and collective success.

These events are not only pivotal for staying informed but also serve as platforms for us to voice our challenges, share successes, and collaboratively find solutions that benefit us all. Your participation is crucial, as it shapes the future of our services and our impact on the community we serve.

Please ensure you and your teams are aware of these opportunities and make every effort to participate. Your input and engagement are invaluable to our collective success and the advancement of pharmacy services in our area.

Important Notice Regarding Our New Contact Email:

To streamline our communication and ensure you receive timely updates and support, we have introduced a new email address for all LPC-related communications: communitypharmacyswl@gmail.com . This change is designed to centralise our contact point, reducing confusion and overlap from receiving emails through various individual addresses.

We encourage all contractors to use this email for any inquiries, feedback, or communication needs with the LPC team. This will not only simplify how you reach out to us but also enhance our responsiveness and the efficiency of our support to you.

Rest assured, all general communications, updates, and announcements will be disseminated through this new email address moving forward. We are committed to making our interactions more streamlined and effective for the benefit of our community pharmacy network.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Together, we can overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and set new standards of excellence in community pharmacy.
